AS FRIENDS OF THE NORTH WILMINGTON BRANCH LIBRARY, INC. we plan to
promote and support the services of the new branch of the WILMINGTON LIBRARY
located at 3400 N. Market Street.
Our activities will include:
"THE FRIENDS OF THE NORTH WILMINGTON
BRANCH LIBRARY, INC. is part of a national volunteer network for
libraries..." The Friends of Libraries, U.S.A. This organization
is seventeen years old and has more than 7,500 members.
The expressed mission of the national organization "is to motivate and support local friends groups across the country in their efforts to preserve and strengthen libraries, and to create awareness and appreciation of library services."
The mission of The
Friends of the North Wilmington Branch Library is to be an advocate
for the library, to contribute financially and organizationally to its
programs and services, and to provide outreach programs to the community.
